Personal Project #1: Mobile Photography
What is Mobile Photography?
Mobile photography is a type of photography that is captured on a mobile device that was not designed initially as a camera. For instance, any photography taken on a phone or an iPad/iPod counts as mobile photography. It has advantages and disadvantages. For example, an advantage is that your phone goes everywhere with you. And so, it is always available for when you see a good photo.
Sion Fullana is a professional photographer, journalist and filmmaker living in New York City. He was born in Majorca, and lived in Barcelona and San Antonio de los Baños where he graduated in film directing at the prestigious EICTV (International Film and TV School). He directed two short films that made the festival circuits around the world, worked as a TV reporter, and moved to Manhattan in 2006, where he found a strong new career/vocational path as a documentary photographer / street photographer.
Above are some images that we took at school, on the first day of the project. They are all based around the theme of colour. All of these photos were taken on an Apple iPod touch, using the photography app Hipstamatic.
Our Trip to Somerset House
These are pictures that I took on our trip to Somerset House. Unfortunately, we couldn't take photos at the exhibition itself (for obvious reasons) and had to settle for photos of the journey. I took most of these using an Apple iPod Touch, and the black and white photography app called Hueless.
